Welcome From Our Pastor

 

Welcome! My name is Pastor Michelle (or just Michelle…or just Pastor - whichever you prefer!). 

 

I am delighted that you have found your way to my church’s website and I hope you will consider coming to worship with us on a Sunday morning. We would love to have you! 

 

It is my joy and privilege to have been serving as pastor of LUMC since 2018. This is my first pastoral appointment out of seminary, and I am living my dream. My passions in ministry include worship planning and preaching, hospitality, ministry with youth and children, ministry with those living on the margins of society (such as our church’s food pantry and clothing closet ministry, and our partnership with North Star Family Services), and equipping, empowering, and organizing lay people for life-giving ministry. 

 

Additionally, I enjoy reading, hiking, skiing, rollerblading, yoga, cooking, eating ice cream, going to the beach, and hanging out with my close friends and family. I have a wonderful husband named Jon and together we have one firecracker of a daughter named Esme who lights up our lives. We’re just a regular family navigating life, struggling to catch up with the laundry, and trying to follow Jesus.
