Worship Info for Guests

From Fall through Spring, we have two times of worship on Sunday mornings.
  • 8:30 Worship takes place downstairs in our chapel.  Chapel worship is a smaller crowd made up primarily of adults.  This service usually last 45 minutes and consists of traditional hymns from the United Methodist Hymnal played on the piano.
  • 10:30 Worship is held upstairs in our Sanctuary.  Sanctuary worship lasts from 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes.  Music consists of traditional hymns from the United Methodist hymnal and played on the organ and praise songs led by Praise Group (instruments used are guitar, violin, drums & piano).  This service has special music by the adult choir (children choir sings monthly).  There is a children's lesson twice a month & children go to Jr. Church twice a month.
  • A nursery for children (up to age 4) is available during the 10:30 worship.
  • Coffee and refreshments are served in the fellowship hall after the 10:30 worship.
  • The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.  Anyone can receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion (adults & children, members & nonmembers of Leominster UMC)
  • How to dress at worship?  Dress comfortably.  During both worship services you can find people dressed in a suit & tie, dress, casual clothes, jean (shorts in the summer).
During the summer, Sunday worship is at 9:30 am and is held in the Sanctuary.  There is no staffed nursery during the summer, but we have a children's corner in our lobby outside the sanctuary.  This is located in an area where children can play and parents are able to watch their children while still participating in worship.
Twice a month we have Dinner & Worship during the week.  At Dinner & Worship, we provide the main course and drinks.  You are invited to bring a dessert or side dish.  After dinner, worship will consist of singing (led on the guitar), prayers, discussing a topic from the Bible, and celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Communion. We invite you to bring your children.  We have toys where children can play while we worship.  This will be a great way to worship with us if you are vacationing or work on the weekends.  Click for Dinner & Worship times & dates
